Rep Power: 0 | I have a person who just started tanning on Wednesday for the first time ever and she did fine on her first session. She came in again last night and seemed fine but woke up this morning with what looks like a rash (medium to small white bumps all over the front and back of her legs and on her back). She says it also itches. I think this is heat rash and she, despite between Hispanic and relatively dark-skinned may have over-done it. The problem now is that she has a big event tonight where she has to wear a very revealing dress and she is totally freaking out. Anybody have any suggestions? |

Rep Power: 24 | I have the exact same thing. I think my eczema was brought on my tanning. I used the new Cortisone spray directly on the area and let it soak into my skin. I noticed a difference right away and its totally cleared up now. It prevents the scratching and stops the spreading of the eczema. |

Rep Power: 21 | Or it could be prickley heat. Alot of people get this when they begin to tan. This is the info on it.... Prickly heat (miliaria rubra) is a type of heat rash that lasts for several days or even weeks without proper care. Here the pores of the sweat glands get plugged, resulting in tiny pink bumps or even water blisters. These bumps tend to show up on covered parts of the skin, especially where there is friction from clothing. The forehead (under caps or visors), body folds, the upper back and chest, and the arms and legs are the most common locations. Prickly heat is most common when it is hot and humid, but it can also occur in overdressed infants even during the winter. Applying oils and ointments makes prickly heat more likely (and take longer to clear up). Often prickly heat itches, and will be describe a 'prickly' sensation. The rash can look quite similar to one caused by infected hair follicles (folliculitis), but if you look at the prickly heat bumps with a magnifying glass, no hair follicles will be seen. Prickly heat is treated with gentle cleansing of the skin. Using Stri-Dex Acne Medicated Sensitive Skin Pads; the salicylic acid helps to unplug the pores. Hydrocortisone cream (not ointment) can help with itching. Sometimes antihistamines are needed for the itching (and sleep). If the rash is infected, antibiotics may also be needed. With treatment, prickly heat should disappear within 2 or 3 days. An important note: Tanning can produce prickly heat. The client should be advised NOT to use and oils or moisturizers until the rash clears. |

Rep Power: 0 | I am an experienced tanner and have been tanning for a month now. I recently also started taking a medication for migraines called topamax...I don't have hives but I look like I have in between poison and psorisis...I have uncontrollable itching and it keeps me up at night. I have stopped the medication but don't want to lose this great tan...Any ideas...I have been using Worship for two weeks...All I know is that I tingle all over and the rash is mostly on my back...I am really freaking out...I have been looking all over the internet at skin pictures of rashes ...yuck. I have found out it is a side effect of tingling of this medication...When you have a bad reaction how long until it goes away..???? Any advise...I am on bendryl. I am also using a fungus cream.. |

Rep Power: 0 | We have had this happen before and it is most likely that they have a problem with your cleaning solution . After you clean the bed wipe down with water and they should not have any more problems. We keep a bottle of water for this reason and place a comment on there account to clean bed with water. Hope this helps |

Rep Power: 20 | I have a few customers that break out for a week or so on their chest and back. This goes away after a time. I first thought it maybe from my sanitizer, but they didn't turn over in the bed, so I knew it was probably a heat rash. |
