I had someone come in and say "I'm here for the free tanning."

I said "Which free tanning are you referring to?"

"The FREE tanning. Like it says on your sign outside. I want to do the FREE tanning."

I looked outside and see there is a sign that says "UV-Free Tanning" (Mystic). So I tell her that it is UV-Free tanning but it costs money.

She got a little bit upset with me and told me we should not have signs up that say you can get free tanning if it isn't free. Then she left.

Has this ever happened to anyone else or am I am just living in the Twilight Zone?

I love it when people who are already on the free trial and they bring a friend in and tell us to give their friend the free pass also....it's one thing when they're interested in joining, but another when neither one has any intention of joining....

How do you deal with people who comes at yours salon asking for free tan (and you now that they never will come back) …

Look them in the face and say YOU WENT OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BEG FOR SOMETHING?

I would have walked them all the way through the store and out the back door to where the alley is & let them have all the free sunshine tanning they could take....

Get used to it. It's a trend and many salons are going to be EXPECTED to offer up their first free tan, free tan weekend, etc., etc., etc....

Nope, never happend to me! (Yah, right!) I show them the parking lot and tell them I'll rent them a chair so they can sit outside and tan.

Has anyone ever asked at Mcdonalds for a free burger to try before you buy..
I don't think so, I never give free tans to walk in or people I have never seen before, buy a package become a regular and then I will greatly reward you with free session or discounts, in the begining for a newbie NEVER, it is not worth it.
