Rep Power: 24 | A tanner comes in your salon asks tons of questions about your indoor tanning products then say: "Thank You, I going to go home and see how much that product cost on line!" I was just talking to salon owner, he told me that story and that happens more and more. Has that ever happened to you? I find it stunning that people would do that! Rep Power: 24 | Many are mistaken about the safety & quality of lotions purchased online. I have had customers say that after puchasing a lotion, if they didn't like it, they would just sell it online. IMHO, there needs to be some tamper-proof packaging as well. If I have a customer say something like that, I would probably say that I would match whatever price within reason, and mention that they need to find out what the shipping charge is. |

Rep Power: 24 | I was shock by how bold that person was!!! How many just look, ask questions then decided not to buy. How many of those are running back to the house to look up the prices on line???? They simply are just not being so bold??? Sherin: What price is too low. |

Rep Power: 21 | That has not happened, but there is a girl (an aquaintance of mine) who comes in periodically to see what I "recommend", buys a sample and then I don't see her for months. She has her own tanning bed but I know she is probably buying online, or from the distributor I have already reported for selling to individuals. |

Rep Power: 28 | I just think that more salons need to really look at their pricing structures to combat this as well.. I sell tons of lotions weekly and never had a problem like this. I have over 300 bottles of lotion stored here that they bought here and only 5 or 6 have been purchased from outside the salon. Not to mention the countless bottles that they buy here and do not store here. I personally think the days of full MSRP are over. |

Rep Power: 21 | It has happened here actually just 3 days ago, and when i explained to the client that major lotion manufacturers are cracking down on this illegal activity she was shocked. I told her how they send out letters of cease and assists and that if indeed she may be caught if selling one of their products on line. I explained how some online lotion sales alter their lotions to make them go further and that you may not be getting exactly what the bottle states. I also told her that some of these manufacturers even distribute the names of the people in violation of selling online to salon owners. Hate to use the scare tactic but I would hate to buy somebody's lotion they have already tried and didnt like |
