Hello,

I was wondering if any of you could provide examples of information you have included in brochures upon opening to attract interest? I was thinking for a brochure, just a basic explanation of my services along with some images of customers, but id like your suggestions if possible. Any responses/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

As we are still a new Salon, we currently don't have a brochure... yet....

I am working on one though.

I have decided that I'm not going to have a glossy, multi page brochure. Instead, we are going to create a fancy looking wallet, that will incorporate several different 'postcard' size pieces. One for each treatment (as we are a Beauty Salon also).

This way, should you wish to change something, or even add or take away a treatment, then it is easily done without all the costs of replacing the entire brochure.

You could even add small 'offer' cards each month.

The possibilities are endless with this approach.

Think of your brochure as a present to get highest response rates.

On the outer, it should say something like, "Surprise inside!" And then make sure there is one.

Otherwise, why would consumers want to read through all of this stuff? They won't, unless there is a 'payoff' for them.

Make sure there are subheadings for consumers to be able to quickly scan the piece. Otherwise, they won't read it. Why? You are bombarded with over 3,300 commercial messages per day and couldn't possibly read all of them. So what do you do? Scan them looking for things of interest to you. If you don't make your brochures scanable, trash!
