I am the owner of a Family Hair Salon. I currently offer Airbrush Tanning. I am adding a tanning bed soon. I want to carry a LIMITED line of lotions (2 product lines; 1 upper end $$ and 1 lower end $$). What is your advice on the product lines I should carry? |
Designer Skin. They actually offer 3 lines now. Designer Skin, Boutique Bronzing Ambiance and Tanning Tonics. I think that if you go with Designer Skin and Tanning Tonics, youwould have both upper and lower covered. |
Caribbeansun01 took the words right outta my mouth (wait.. I'm typing, not talking... So- fingers?? Hmmm...). Anyway, Designer Skin carries a diverse assortment of lotions without being overwhelming. Even their 'economy' lotions are a quality product, so clients will be happy with them. Something to think about, since you offer Airbrush Tanning- California Tan and Norvell both offer many products that compliment Sunless Tanning (i.e. Sunless Tan Extenders, Primers, Touch-Up, etc.) Carrying those lines will bring a continuity between your Traditional and Sunless services. Above all, don't get carried away by the hype surrounding many lotions. In a small setup, select two options at most for each type of lotion (bronzing, Hot Action, Accelerators,Cooling, etc...). |
Even one line works with a good selection of sizes to fit all the pocket books. I use John Abate as my sole line and have had extreemly good reviews and service. No one has complained that I should carry more selection. |
Any ideas about Tanology?? I've heard good things about their line. Does anyone know what percent commission the salon gets from their products? |
