Rep Power: 0 | I was just curious: What percentage of your "problem" customers or ANYONE that raises any type of issue, such as: "I don't want to wear eyewear", "I can't get dark", "Lotion doesnt work for me, and im not spending the money" ALWAYS claim they have worked in a salon before. "Oh I know that, I used to work at a tanning salon, Oh I know that, I worked at a salon for 12 years" It is SUCH BS, I swear, if this is the case...then tanning salons must have the HIGHEST rate of employment in the USofA. |

Rep Power: 24 | Gawd...I had one last night...She came in and I gave her the tour...While on the tour, she told me she used to work at a salon. Then she wanted "The cheapest bed" Then she complained about the price. Then I asked if she had eye protection? She said "No, I just usually throw a towel..." I said that it was our policy here that she must wear eye protection & I sold her a pair of Winkease. Then I asked if she had her lotion and she said..."I put it on at home" "I use Coppertone" I informed her that we have a list posted of lotions banned from use in our salon...Not to much I can do about her putting it on at home... At this point. I feel like I am pulling teeth...Now, I could have at this point given her a packet to use but, I really don't expect to see her again... Now on the other hand, the girl that was waiting for me to finish with this customer, purchased a $50 tan and I comped her the Envy my Forbidden Fire Lotion to try after she stated that she loves Matahari lotion...This one will be back! |

Rep Power: 20 | Wow Sherin..sounds like one of the customers you just want to kick in the butt. If they used to work in a salon or run one, then we shouldn't have to tell them that it's mandatory to have some kind of eyewear, or that certain lotions are bad for the beds and not to mention useless for them if they wanted results. |

LOL- But think of how many salons are in your town. Then each prob has at least 15-20 new employees each year and tanning has been pretty big for 20 years now so that's At Least 300 employees per salon that may still be tanning. 300 x 5 salons is 1500 ex-salon employees in your area! OMG! |

Rep Power: 21 | I live & work in a University/College town. We get dozens of girls in who have worked at salons. The point is - they may also have been fired after a week because they were too stupid to insist that people use eye protection. I'm amazed at the number of people coming into my second salon that have never worn eye protection - it is really scary. |

Rep Power: 0 | I had this one lady come in about 2 weeks ago... I give her a tour and explaining our packages to her and she goes hmm well you guys are really expensive, and i told her we are average and she was like no your are more than this salon and this one... (not to mention i managed one of the salons she named so i know the pricing) and she was like your guys' beds might be new but there is another salon with your same beds (thinking like i care) and she claimed that she used to work in another salon and her parents owned a salon in california... i just wanted to kick her... |
