We give the first visit free. She has already had her free visit. You have to ask for though we dont just give it to you. Girl called and asked about it(got name on caller ID) and said she was on her way. One of my employees reconized the name as a friend of a friend. I went in my office and forgot about it. Girl comes in and through my window i can tell the guy helping is being difficult with her but he had not called me up so i let him continue. I go back to what i was doing - guy comes in my office and tells me he just gave someone a free visit but she didnt use her real name. Really. Whats she driving? Lets run the plates. Boyfriends car. Caller ID - i call her and she answers it in the bed. When she comes out i confront her but she just wont give it up. Doesnt know the guy the car is registered to - i tell her she better get that fixed. Bottom line i say is that this is what it appears to me to be you cheated me out of a visit. If I am wrong i am sorry but this is what i think. Please dont come back. She leaves and then calls complaining about how i treated her. I think she was going to lawyer up she was all cocky about it. Why do i think she is someone else? So then i take the ace out of the hole. We have your name on caller ID. Didnt miss a beat - this is my cousins car and this is his girlfriend phone it was in the car so she used it. Really. So you left the phone in the car while you tanned. Yes - it is all becoming clear now i made a mistake. No i dont think so. Maam (she was 21 but i was still being poilite) I called the phone while you were tanning and you answered it. I am sorry but this is about honesty and this is the way i see it. OK im sorry if it about honesty i am so and so i just wanted another free visit. I tell her that is stealing and to please not come back again. I live for poopoo like this - i am actully glad she did it.

This is why we cut out free. Took them out of the system. It's only the older members, and once they know its new ownership, they understand. You tan once, with coupon and valid ID.

It has been years since i have had a problem with it. The birthday usually gets our attention. When the guy asked about the birthday she denied it. What surprised me is when you usually paint someone in a corner they give it up. Not her. I win in the end though.

The amazing and funny thing is that it's not like a single tan does much. OK, so you got two. You did it to 4 salons, and now that's it for the year (cuz they're on to you)... 8 tans in a base bed for all that time and effort?? But then again, I guess there are people like that out there....kinda like the clepto's...they don't need it but have the impulse to get something for nothing.

DL, State ID..anyone under 16 will not be able to tan without a parent anyway...so tuff!
No paper ID Only if backed up by two other pieces of picture ID --Like state or school ID)~

Now, if you inform them of this and they actually read the new members offers restrictions onteh new members form( just above signature on the new members form, wall sign, new members list of special offere on the desk Book 'o specials) BEFORE handing you teh form and paying you the ching...

I just had a guy come in...his gf started filling out the liability waiver (he's 28, you would think he's capable of filling that out on his own), and she goes to tan...she said she just wanted to give him the 5 free tans. Well, I decide to check our system, sure enough someone with his name and his birthday are in my system, AND they have a balance from another store, but he says it's not him. So I ask for his ID, he says it was taken away from him because of too many DWIs....wow...class act here. So I told him I would tan him one time (just to get him out of my face while his gf tanned) and that if he wanted to join with valid banking and proper ID, I would honor the 5 free tans. He seemed a few cards short of a deck though...the whole time his gf was filling out his liability waiver, he was slapping her *** and hopping around the lobby.

I only ever had one MOM call me and 'demand' her daughter money back. I stated the situation is confusing to me.... And could not understand the problem??? :innocentvoice:
She paid and wanted her FREE visit...I told her the policy and she said she lost her license and got mad when I could not give her the "BUY one get on FREE visit" without it.
There is only ONE per member and we HAVE to check IDs.

MOM went quiet...after a few minutes I said hello???
And Mom finally saidin a peeed toneof voice.... "Nevermind, I will let my daughter deal her own problems. She never came in to redeem her tan."
I have a feeling Baby Girl got in trouble.

I ask for driver's license from everyone new. I say it's to get the spelling right - it's got everything we need but a phone number. My new store is in an area that a lot of people can walk over so not all have id on them though.
