Rep Power: 51 | Anybody else see this? They now have lights that the public can buy that won't hurt your eyes. The unit looked like a combination of a fan and a tabletop face tanner. They said they are cheap to purchase but didn't say how much or where. The segment was telling us how to prevent sad, but didn't mention tanning at all. But it looked like a tanning unit. I guess it's good they didn't mention tanning becuase whenever they do it is rarley good. Anybody know about these units? |

Rep Power: 0 | I didn't see the show but am familiar with the lights. I received a catalog a few years ago that had these lights in them, most in the form of a table lamp or floor lamp. They were made like regular lamps with this special bulb, cost appx $600, the replacement bulb was almost the same as the origal unit?? Anyway they seem to work but for the money I would rather tan. Rep Power: 0 | It's possible that the particular unit they showed could be less expensive but either way I like the multi benefits of tanning. Actually that's how I became a salon owner. I didn't want to take any S.A.D. drugs this winter so I bought a tanning bed, thought about it, bought another and jumped in the business head-first. I'm learning alot before I actually open. Our state is unregulated but I want to learn as much and follow sound guidelines and traing "good sense" in case they decide to become regulated. |

Rep Power: 22 | I have actually seen them in a gardening book and our local utility mag that comes out monthly. It is not the same as a tanning lamp. It is a light that is suppose to give extra lighting for your home that you dont get in the winter months. |

Rep Power: 20 | Allseasonstan, I seen that this morning also. We were talking about it at the salon tonight. I actually had one customer come in tonight, that quit tanning in September, and sign back up. She said she told her husband she just feels blah and wanted to start tanning again. She thinks she has S.A.D. Here is one wesite about the light box. http://www.lighttherapyproducts.com/ I though it was interesting also. |
