Rep Power: 0 | I replaced all the bulbs in a bed, it worked good about twice. Now it doesn't seem to do anything no matter how long you are under it. They are wolfe bulbs. There isn't bulb suppliers out there that can sell bulbs that seem new but go to crap in a hurry is there? Or is there something else I should check ....? thanks _________________ [ This Message was edited by: gstep on 2005-02-01 20:32 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | Is it possible you are using reflector bulbs and they are turned the wrong way (need to be label side showing)? Another possibility - your power to the bed has somehow changed? Have it tested to make sure it is running where it is supposed to. |

Rep Power: 0 | I turned them all label side showing, there were 3 that were sideways. If you mean outlet power, it's been in two different locations and same result. It's a bed with electronic ballists, I replaced one of those same time as the bulbs. thanks |

Rep Power: 25 | what kind of bed is it? Do ALL lamps seem bad? Is one of the two locations the exact same one you were using before you switched to this set of lamps? And they are BRAND new lamps? And DID seem to give results initially? |

Rep Power: 0 | Not sure how to tell what bulbs are bad. They all seem to have the same amount of brightness. I bought it used, it seemed like it needed new bulbs and two didn't work at all. I replaced the bulbs then the ballist. It worked great about 3 times. Thne it didn't seem to do much. Moved it to a new location and the same results. |

Rep Power: 25 | What kind of bed is it? Specifically, what type of bulbs are you using (Wolff what - what are the numbers on the lamp?) Why did you replace a ballast - someone told you to, or as an attempt to get the lamps working? |

Rep Power: 23 | Did you meter them? What was the new lamps metering when they were "working good" ( the first few times as you mentioned)? What are they metering at now? What size breaker is it on? Is the breaker a 20? 30? 40? Is it the correct size for the bed? Does it have a buck buster/transformer? This by far~ not my area of expertise but I what little I know, I will share with you... Maybe the bed needs a transformer-- lamps perfom much better when they are in units geting the required voltage. Sounds like this bed needs 237...maybe you only have 208 going into teh unit...(give or take) What does it say on the unit it needs to operate properly? |
