I just got the new NTS catalog and was wondering if anyone has tried the Wall Murals? It says new item but maybe someone is familiar with them. Are they hard to put up and do they just fit any wall? Just wondering.

I have a wall mural in my nail tech's room. It was already here when I bought the salon. It looks works just like wallpaper I believe.

In the new space that I'm hoping to move too, we are having a area artist come in and paint on our walls. She does an awesome job.

I saw those also and wondered about them. I think lil_miss is right...they are like wall paper. I have a painted mural on a wall that ar artist did a couple of years ago for me. It is GREAT!

If you have the option of an artist painting a mural I would go that route. I have a perfectionist for a husband. Prior to opening we had a 8'X12' wall mural for our lobby area. After the 4th panel he ripped it off of the wall. Mind you he does not like seems and there was no way not to have a noticable seem. I thought it was looking great but now I just have a painted wall with a framed art print. I hope to find a local artist to do some paint work.

You can create, print and install your own wall mural. It's printed on a 52" wide digital press; hence an 8' wall is designed to appear seamless as one big image conceptually. In reality, the design is computer-cut into 52" wide strips with no repeat and then a wallpaper hanger hangs it. When printing an overlap is created so it is trimmed to appear seamless! Wallpaper is printed on the same type press (ever wonder why it is only so wide?).

Just make sure you begin with high resolution image(s). Naturally, Grip does murals. They are printed on the same digitals presses we use for posters, auto wraps, roadside signs, and banners.

You can also fill up the top of wall displays with a nice graphic, too.

We have murals in all our rooms. My fiance and his brother in law put them up in a day. They didn"t have a problem with it. You have to make sure you have a plumb line to reference to before you begin. They fit perfectly in our rooms and everyone compliments them.

Hint:

Use a program like Corel Printhouse. Use one of their clipart pcs, or another you may like. Use the banner option to make it as big as you like, and print it out in what they call colouring book. It will print the outlines of the art. Trace the patern onto the wall using carbon paper. Next, it's as simple as filling it in with an enamel craft paint, just like paint by number.
