Rep Power: 22 | Too many tanning salon owners ignore their company's customers! They don’t even bother to scoring their inactive customers for probability of purchase, even though these consumers are the most likely of all consumers, new prospects or inactive customers, to purchase again. Your inactives know who you are, what you are, where you are, and most importantly – you know who they are. Of course, mailing, emailing, and phoning inactive customers from any list is always the right thing to do when done properly. It's almost certain to increase sales and decrease overhead cost ratios. It’s the most cost effective means of contact because you have cut out all of the waste and inefficiency in your marketing. You are contacting a list of people that you know like to tan. Rehiring your customers lowers your marketing costs because reacquisition costs less. And with the right treatment, reactivating your inactives could become more even valuable because some of them will become super customers. Acquire and reacquire with the intention to retain, and retain with the intention to grow. This thread is fresh, but the truths are old. Building relationships and always being responsive, occasionally attentive, and usually relevant are attributes of a company everyone likes to do business with. Too many salons aren’t rehiring their customers. You should. They are the best prospects you have. To compile your own database list of known tanners and then not contact them is blasphemy! |

Rep Power: 23 | I agree with Gary..never forget about your database....do mailers often. I just ordered some postacrds from Vistaprint.com they have nice cards very reasonable and you design them . I use the (thank you cards~ modified) for Birthday cards. Just customize them. Type what you like. I get my VIP cards-- Lotion Bonus cards, labels for my lotions gift bags and bottles, referal cards and Business cards there too. Last time I tried the linen finishon my postcard inactive In house malier ... I like the glossy better. They were nice but the full color glossy is my fav. JMHO |
