It's true, tanning is unhealthy and promotes skin cancer. blablabla. But the thing is, tanners will tan, knowing this. And some people will fully deny the fact that tanning is unhealthy. Yes it's true, it's not like you're going to all of a sudden have cancer once you step into the booth. But continuous, uncontrolled crazy everyday tanning will definitely bring some negative effects. Duh. Most people who tan are aware of the risks. Like me. But we're still gonna tan anyway because of the results tanning gives us. I think they need to just give up in trying to convince us to stop. I love tanning, but I have my limits. |

It's logical that excess aging to the skin dries it and prevents the skin from being protective against harm, which is why we have lotions and limits to the amount of tanning we expose ourself to. Tanners are aware of the dangers of tanning too much, which is why we protect ourselves with the goggles, lotion, and only going once or twice a week or whatever. If those scientists and people against tanning knew that, they would be off our backs. That's what I'm trying to say. |

Rep Power: 0 | Yes, there are good effects from tanning. Actually, many. It's not that ignorance "increases" when we talk about the bad things about tanning. We decrease the ignorance by letting everyone know that there's good and bad about tanning. just like everything in life! you can't just ignore the bad. you can't do that for anything. period. |

First of all I do not say that it doesn't bring negative effects, you said that tanning is unhealthy and promotes skin cancer. Your next statement makes absolutely no sense at all: "It's logical that excess aging to the skin dries it and prevents the skin from being protective against harm, which is why we have lotions and limits to the amount of tanning we expose ourself to." I'm not sure where you pulled that out of, but I think you need to educate yourself a bit more before you try to pass yourself off as someone trying to resemble an educated tanner... |
