I don't know who moved it, but generally any unsolicited product advertising is moved to the Spam forum, it's not necessarily an insult.

Jallround, I am a disty and I have had the same thing happen,\. I have realided since, that there is 2 areas to advertise our products and/or services when not asked. That is in the Buy/Sell and Spam Attack.

Either will show up on the main topic list. It is the price of doing business here.

I did not move it either...but having something moved to the spam attack or posting it there, is like Neon said not necessarily a bad thing. We just want the members to know whether they are getting an unbiased opinion from someone who has used the goods/services or an advertising pitch from someone who has an interest in promoting their product. There is nothing wrong with promoting your goods/services especially our sponsors. Maybe spam is not the proper name for that forum. As most people think of spam as unsolicited and/or unwanted.

In our business lives and our personal lives - people know us by our words and actions.

Here (and other sites) I happen to be known for NOT sugar coating reality and for speaking my mind.... I am the SAME in my personal life.

I am known for placing a very high value on Honesty and the English Language and its correct usage.

HERE - Online, when tone and facial expressions cannot come into account..... and ‘smilies’ are not indicative of TRUE meanings.... we are known by our Posts....

The responsibility that EVERYONE has when participating on ANY FORUM is to understand that they own that post.... those words you use better be HONEST... or you better be able to apologize for being an *******....

Vendors/ Distributors/ MFGS and Salon Owners have used the WWW to bit*chslap their competitors while ‘undercover’ of an anonymous screen name - [i]This is BAD KARMA as I can promise you - - - nothing is truly anonymous and you will wind up EATING your words.

But more to the point..... When a web site becomes known for this type of bullsh*t type post *especially worse when it is DONE by MODERATORS * you (the reader) then must question ALL the Information.... is it VALID? Is this just a SALES PITCH?? is this just another Personal Vendetta from a small-minded, inept individual or Group of same????

There is very little you CAN depend on when you have to question the MOTIVES of a website or its moderators.

Don’t like me? Don’t like my ‘style’? That’s fine, that’s groovy, that is YOUR RIGHT.

But tell LIES about me - and you not only ruin your OWN credibility as a moderator.... you ruin the credibility of the Entire Web Site.

What if we had a SPAM forum for true SPAM and and ADVERTISERS FORUM where companies could tell about a product or service and invite inquiries? Maybe they could start a topic for a specific service or product one time. If they have something new to offer then they could start a new topic.
