As I have said in the past and will continue to do so....I will try to accomodate the wishes of the largest group of people here on the board. And it seems the past few days there is rivalry, splitting our membership into 2 or 3 groups. Sometimes change is better....so I am all for giving it a try. I am opening the thread for nominations for moderators we will then have secret voting and get a group of moderators that is a range of people from all "groups". Some may be added, some may be removed...I'll let the board decide.
This thread is for nominations only.....no stating why or why not, no stating who you DON'T want. We will ultimately pick 10 mods.
The floor is open for nominations.

Names only please......I don't want this to turn into a nightmare thread. Nor do I want to miss a nominee due to being lost in a sentence. Thanks for the input so far!!!

All the names mentioned are fine people. With great standards it would be a hard choice. As for mine I have no input. [ This Message was edited by: GENIUS on 2005-01-17 16:48 ]

**As this keeps getting Erased as my New Topic.... Maybe it could get some Hang Time on this thread???

It seems very appropriate as you are discussing the need for BETTER moderation---

Quote:I was not responsible for your trip to the corner. I will apologize for using examples that may not have actually occurred with the names I used and the situations were not meant to be based on facts, but only as examples. I'm done. [Neon - Mod of Tantalk]

In our business lives and our personal lives - people know us by our words and actions.

Here (and other sites) I happen to be known for NOT sugar coating reality and for speaking my mind.... I am the SAME in my personal life.

I am known for placing a very high value on Honesty and the English Language and its correct usage.

HERE - Online, when tone and facial expressions cannot come into account..... and ‘smilies’ are not indicative of TRUE meanings.... we are known by our Posts....

The responsibility that EVERYONE has when participating on ANY FORUM is to understand that they own that post.... those words you use better be HONEST... or you better be able to apologize for being an *******....

Vendors/ Distributors/ MFGS and Salon Owners have used the WWW to bit*chslap their competitors while ‘undercover’ of an anonymous screen name - [i]This is BAD KARMA as I can promise you - - - nothing is truly anonymous and you will wind up EATING your words.

But more to the point..... When a web site becomes known for this type of bullsh*t type post *especially worse when it is DONE by MODERATORS * you (the reader) then must question ALL the Information.... is it VALID? Is this just a SALES PITCH?? is this just another Personal Vendetta from a small-minded, inept individual or Group of same????

There is very little you CAN depend on when you have to question the MOTIVES of a website or its moderators.

Don’t like me? Don’t like my ‘style’? That’s fine, that’s groovy, that is YOUR RIGHT.

But tell LIES about me - and you not only ruin your OWN credibility as a moderator.... you ruin the credibility of the Entire Web Site.
