Cell phones and tanning beds - tanTALK

Does anyone know the effects of talking on a cell phone while in a tanning bed? Any info is appreciated.

An uneaven tan, I would guess, otherwise I can't think of any problem...though I would think a person would want to relax in the bed, forget about the world outside, ya know?

But, we have it all the time...it's great listening in on their conversations, boy the things you can learn about a person...

No effects know of. But we dont allow it. We have a flier on our counter stated this, I dont want someone conversation interrupting a client in the next bed, or hear the conversation up here at the counter.

Getting an un-even arm-pit tan?
So far, it hasn't been a problem here...

You would also have to make sure you don't use the same ear. Alternate to make sure both ears are tanned at the same rate.

Our salon must be in a dead zone because just about every cell phone doesn't get a signal in here (one that does is Nextel's two way. )

Me too. Only SPRINT works over here (REAL STRANGE) I could care less if someone wants to RUIN their tan with a call. NO BS though.

I wish there could be an effect. I've had clients ask, while the tanning shop is full, if we could turn off the radio because they are expecting a call. There is a young girl that comes in and everytime without fail, she is on the phone and stands at the counter a good 2-3 minutes before pausing and says "20" or "10", and resumes her conversation throughout her 20 or 10 minute session.

I like the response from another thread where they stop the bed because it annoys the other customers and blame it on the cell interfering with the bed electronics.
