I just read on CNN that California banned tanning for teenagers under 14 years old. The proposed ban was for under 18 years old. Do you think other states will follow.

YES YES YES....... I really would like for all of us to implement a plan of action not reaction.....it has to be done...I know I will start my plan next year for our market...regardless if anyone is with me(other salon owners in the market)...

you should not be allowing folks under 14 to tan anyway...I have never let anyone under that age tan in my salon without the law
you really dont get that much from clients that age anyway, if you do a study most clients are above 18 and my range of big spenders starts at the age 25 plus

its not about that.....it is just a foot in the door....it is the start of regulation.......it will go up and up....

even if they go to 18 it wont bug me none...Legal is legal, and a matter of the mind frame of a child verus an adult to me.
If they cant pay for it they dont need to be doing it.

the 16-18 year olds have tons of buying power....tons....do you really think it will stop at 14....do you know how much teenagers spend? We need to do something....not put our heads in the sand....this is not a issue we can ignore....

Exactly....so is anyone willing to go for it? Do we want to wait until they attack.....it is not going away and if we just sit here hoping someone else will fix it....it ain't happening....we need full time lobbyists....a plan....look at Check Cashing they have come together as a industry and are fighting all the way.....

This is fine with me 99% of our business is over 18 anyway
