I client just walked in and asked if tanning would cause a scab on his forehead scar darker. Anyone have an answer? I will suggest he put an SPF on that spot if he is concerned.

Well, I guess it's the same as when people have neck/back surgeries and the scar on their neck tends to burn. Probably because that skin is more sensitive to UV light. You are right on with suggesting an SPF.

Makes them darker, I would suggest an SPF or just to cover it up.

DO NOT TAN a scar if it's not fully healed as tanned shin DOES NOT HEAL correctly. SPF all the way

Think AG sells a "tattoo" stick that could work, or I just have them buy a lip balm which is 25SPF and easy to apply.

I remember a previous post about "Pitch Black" (or was it Blaque?) that helps for this type of thing and stretch marks. Possibly a solution ?

Scars do get darker when tanning.
