Equipment in 3rd parties\' stores - tanTALK

I have some upscale hair stylists/spa salons owner that wants me to put some tanning units in his salons. The salons have some 150 clients/day, spending an average of $70. He is offering me 60% of revenues, he bornes all the costs other than equipment purchasing/maintenance. Individual sessions will be sold at some $11. Is it a good deal?

Most,Not all stores,seem to neglect the tanning units after awhile,they become dirty and un-cared for. Thus chasing
people to a stand alone tanning salon.

Thanks Bob. I was thinking of 1)agree a tan sales commission to the employees and 2)Set service standards in the contract. Is the rev share 60/40 ok in your opinion?

I did 70/30 but I took care of the lamps ect.. He only paid for the electric. I had mine with some gyms works out good if you take care of lamps and ect... because you know the equipment is getting taking care of so as long as the keep up on their store everyone should remain happy and stay tanning and get some people off the street to tan at the location whichever the mix is. Also if they do not want to sell lotions themselves get a VendaTan machine to make extra income on lotions.

Who will be watching over the units in the said hair salon if it isn't you? Are they willing to do it and to train the staff properly?

They will take care of the equipement & sales. We will offer a 10% commission to the employees.
