Rep Power: 0 | After surfing the site, there seems to be two totatally different species/razes of tan owners: the ones that work 80 hours in an owned salon to make $20k/year (profit), and the ones with larger salons in cities that make $100k (profits), who have employees doing the job. If you invest 80-100k to set up a 5 bed salon that makes a $20k profit (without considering the shadow cost of your own salary) it does not seem to make sense. |

Rep Power: 0 | Did not mean to offend, just making some newbie calculations: 5 units x 5 sessions each per day x $7 per session x 350 days = $ 61.250 per year. Considering a profit margin of 33%, it makes a 20k profit per year. Is there anything materially wrong about the assumptions? (the industry's information change substantally depending to whom you talk) Tkx |

Rep Power: 25 | yeh, well if I believe every sales person that sold me beds I would have already been a millionaire after my first few month... Not the case... I have 6 beds, but going to 9 soon...Also not everyone charges $7 per session... I have a couple of beds that get $12 per session... And I really don't think I will only get 5 sessions each in a day... I do more than that now in offseason.... |
