Rep Power: 0 | The tanning salon I go to is expanding and is in desperate need of workers. When I went in for my tanning appointment today the owner asked me if I had a job and I told her no she said well would you be interested in working here ( I have only wanted to work there the whole 4 years I have been going there) of course I said yes so she said well after your session come in my office and we can discuss this over furthur. So she just asked me questions like how many hours a week can I work, what do I think I need improvement in stuff like that. I get along very well with everyone that works there in fact me and 2 other of the girls that work there used to work together. I am so excited and nervous what if she thinks I am not good enough to work there I will feel dumb going in there to tan and see the new person that is better than me working Well just thought I would share .... make sure you all wish me luck I will keep you all posted she said she would call me by friday!!!! |

Rep Power: 28 | I wish you the best of luck. But I will also caution on your feeling left out if they hire someone else. That doesn't mean they are smarter than you, just that the "other" person made a better impression. Really I hope you get the job. If you do, make sure you take direction very well, coz we all know you have been on the boards learning and they could take your knowledge as being a "SMart ***" |

Rep Power: 23 | good luck!!! That's really cool that the owner made the first move and asked you about working there. I used to do that back in my management days. If we had a really good customer who looked like someone who would fit in well, I would approach him or her about working with us. You can find some of your best employees that way. If they spent a TON of time and money on jeans and sweaters, then they must love clothes!! If someone spends a ton of time tanning and lots of money on lotions, then they must really love tanning! Those are the kinds of employees you want, ones who love what they're doing, not the ones who are just doing it for the money. |

Rep Power: 24 | That is EXACTLY how I got the job at the salon I am at. I was a regular, well paying client. I never told them I was on the boards or acted like I knew more than they did. I was just a client who was always on time, friendly and spent plenty of money there. I declined their offer for about 3 months... finally accepting. It was only after I started that they heard about Tantalk and Bronze Star. They still REALLY have NO IDEA about any of it, I just don't discuss it. Since I've started I'm in charge of everything to do with the lotions from the product selecting, testing, ordering and commissions. It's nice to have a niche that I fit in with really well. I hope you get the job too. It's very rewarding and frankly, I love the work. |

Rep Power: 25 | Congratulations!!!!! Learn as much as you can from your trainer. Remember some of the things you have learned here can be valuable, but we all run our salons a little differently so make sure you follow company procedures. |
