NEED SOME SERIOUS ADVISE - tanTALK

I am gonna open up a tanning salon. Not here is the problem. I have a woman who wants me to build her out as a location that does facials and laser hair removel. The space is about 2300 square feet. So I assume I have room for both. I wanna make it look like to seperate entities. 1 Welcome area and 2 seperate waiting rooms, 1 for tanning with good music and decor like a hang out and the other entrance more relaxing for the woman who come to get serviced. Is that a bad idea? Shall I make a fake hallway with 2 entrances totally seperating the businesses.

darn it, major typos. Ok the space is 4300 square feet not 2300. 2nd floor location.

No she is a licensed by the state as a beutician. So you agree fake hallway is the way to go? I dont want men to feel threatened that it is a woman's place.

yes it needs to be seperate to some extent

your going to need a salon license if it is in the same store.

What kinda salon license? It is one staircase leading up to 2nd floor, but then 2 doors, seperating the entities.

regardless if it is in your tanning salon or not you are going to need a salon license.most likely just a skin care & nail salon license.check with the Board of cosmetology in your state.
