What do you think about this instead of getting a hydromassage unit. I hav'nt heard hardly anything good about the hydro. so I thought this would be better. Your thoughts are appreciated.

I agree it is a headache, although you can set it up so they are independent, where they pay you rent and they are responsible for taking their own $$ in, and setting their own appointments etc..(such as I have done, but mine is always late in paying the rent, and she doesn't even try to interact with my customers..therefore she only does like 1 massage a month!) she gives a great massage, and it does bring in some money, so I deal with it...its not a lot...but every year the rent gets raised..until I want her out for good! But I've heard the same that you have about hydro units...good luck in whatever you choose.

We have both. A massage therapist and a hydromassage. I think your right to think about adding something to compliment tanning. Depending on your area, a massage therapist could be a good thing. If there are none in your area, you advertise it, and you get a good one, then you can make pretty good money. If there are already a couple close by, then I would forget it. As for the hydromassage, if you get one buy it used. There is no way to amortize a new one.

I have three massage therapists working for me currently, 3 of them pay $$550 per month for their rent. I have a guaranteed $1650 off of my over $5200 per month. That is a giant help around rent time. They all have huge clientel lists and we do their appts in our computer, it is a great way to save on advertising costs splitting the payments.
