Yea, tanning is about the only thing in NY NOT regulated. I wish it would become regulated fast, maybe some of these big chains would die out and leave room for us little guys.

I see all states becoming regulated in the future. Give it maybe 2 years and I know that my state will be.

Keyword: SHOULD. Our state is regulated, and I also agree with the other post that says the inspectors should be former salon owners so they would know what to look for. Only problem with that is that the inspector may be one of those salon owners who never played by the book. I know my salon inspector doesn't know what she's looking for. I do run mine by the book, but there are others who would be out of business if she actually knew what she was looking for.

I can't believe that a salon owner wants more regulations!

Local (state and county) regulation is the latest strategy being implemented by the dermoterrorists to shut down the indoor tanning industry. Be careful what you ask for.

Virginia Is regulated. But not really. all we have to have is timers on our beds. I mean are there any salons out there anymore without them?
