Rep Power: 20 | We have AM/FM CD boomboxes in all of the rooms wired into speakers in the headboards of the beds. Anyone have a better idea that actually sounds good? Let's hear from everyone on this one! How do you deliver sound to your rooms? We are averaging 10% to 20% customers bringing in their own cd and the rest listen to their favorite radio station. |

Rep Power: 0 | We got rid of our boom boxes and nasty headphones by installing a central stereo system with speakers and volume control at the head of each bed. We have a multi-disc changer set on random play with a variety of music types on it. We get comments all the time on how much peiople like our music. |

Rep Power: 21 | We used to have a central music system with individual volume controls. People didn't seem to care for it- we got complaints that it was too loud, too quiet, wrong station, blah blah blah - we switched to individual systems with cd/radio - no one said much although a few bring in cd's. I'm surprised at how many don't bother with music at all. Most who listen to the radio have it tuned to the station I had on when we used the central system anyway. |

Rep Power: 0 | It drives me crazy to have a dozen different stations/songs all going at the same time. I like having the same music throughout the salon. Guess everyone and everyplace is different. We don't have radio on because I don't want competitors' ads playing in my salon. The CDs we have in our changer are really vaired as far as music style and we set it on random play so they don't have to hear too much of any one music style. It works for us. Occasionally a client will come in with a CD that they want to hear and, if we aren't busy and the music isn't offensive, I will put it in to play through the system while they tan. I even have a few customers that burn CDs bring them in to give to us. |

Rep Power: 0 | I know one thing I hate is hearing 20 different songs playing through the salon, but since I didnt pay for my membership it's just too bad for me. We work with local area DJ's and carry all of their CD's in stock and sell them as well, so we let people listen to them if they want to, or they can listen to the radio or bring their own CD in, never any complaints about the tunes, and ofcourse throughout the salon lobby, etc we play thew stuff we sell and people love it. |

Rep Power: 21 | Like was said above, "everyone and every place is different." We have XM radio though out the whole salon. Each room has it's own seperate volume control. I haven't had anyone complain about the music maybe other than me when one of my kids has it on bump/rap. |

Rep Power: 0 | I have XM everywhere I love it, I think the biggest reason I didnt go with it was because I was affraid customers wouldnt know where to find their favorite type of music, or the large ammount of Stations would frustrate them. Not to mention we have our Prep time set to 3 Minutes. |
