I would NOT spend a ton of money. You can get TOP tanning machines VIOD of unnecessary extras that drive the cost up. Usually any machine that is built to specs with Cosmedico lamps and ballasts (and make of steel) are best bets.

My numbers may look good, but most have packages, therefore income has been below poverty level. Rent due end of the week and I may have to start printing my own currency to pay for it.

somedays i'm tanning 20 somedays tanning 40...peak 60-70..just added 4 units and we are only 15 months old..i also have 5 tanning salons right down the street 4 more salons in the surrounding area.We make rent every month and our bills are paid.HOORAY for us...

5 beds, open 6 days a week Mon - Fri. 7:30 - 7:30, Sat 9:00 - 3:00 we are seeing 20 -30 a day, somedays 40 to 50. We are JUST holding our heads above the water right now. Man, this biz can go from Hooray to Aw, sh*t real quick!! I The bad thing about it, it can get so much worse before it gets better!! Something to look forward to!! haha

I just opened in Jan, and have 6 units. I'm located in a small town, was averaging between 80-100 during the busy months, and now about 40 a day during the week, but weekends suck. Still able to pay my bills with what I bring in as well, but wondering what the next few months will bring. Can't wait until my first year is over so I won't be sitting here wondering as much!

Joee, The first couple of years are the worse! I can remember going days with out a dime coming in.

I've actually been very happy so far this year, weekends are depressing right now, but as long as I continue to pay my bills with what I bring in, thats more than I figured for my first year, blowing my business plan out of the water for my first year (so far)! just hopefully it continues, I hate to sit and wait to see what next month will bring, maybe I should lease space to a psychic? that might shed some light:

me: "How much weight will I gain next month ms. psyhic?" (I eat when I'm stressed and bored!) lol.

psyhic: "oooh, many many personal pans....many pounds"

me: sh$t! if only those pounds were $$!

Jolee - Oh how you make me laugh, as I sit here eating my ice cream from the shop two doors down, packing on the pounds also. I'm up to 29 tanners today. Have a coupon in the paper tomorrow maybe that will bring in some extra money. (sighing) Will you ask your psyhic for me?
