It seems by reading other posts, that the season ended abruptly early this year. What does the more experience salon owners fore see? An earlier start for next season or a dreadful summer?

I think its to early to tell,all the signs dont look good. Not to upset anyone just starting,But this might the year alot of poorly operated salons disappear.

The last two years have been different. We have always keep a good cash flow on hand.

I took a look in the Charlotte, North Carolina paper today and saw 4 tanning salons for sale. I have never saw this many at one time!

WHAT KINDOFF SALONS WERE THEY? I mean good ones, start-ups,or ones that never up-dated?

I am not sure since this area is an hour from me. I do know that one had 16 beds and the Mystic spray tanning bed. I know that I have been in business for 6 years and I have grown every year, except this year and my numbers went in reverse. I am glad I was established, I would not have wanted to try to open a new salon this year.

We also were down a little this year. I to had increased every year. It is hard to keep that up forever though.

I'm slower now than I was a month ago for sure, and my electrical bill still keeps climbing because of the a/c! This is my first year, but at least I'm still to the point where I can pay my bills with what I bring in....wondering how much longer though.

Wowwwwee JOLEE when I opened the son of bit*h electric bill and saw it was HIGHER than last month I almost SH*T. People are bums.

Not that I'm jumping for joy, but this year has been better than last for me (not a whole lot, but better nonetheless. )
