Rep Power: 0 | Im a future salon owner who is still doing tanning bed research. Tanningonline.com offers a great 9 bed package deal to include all your startup supplies, fans, software, etc. Have any of you seen this and is it a good deal for GOOD BEDS? I want quality beds but not at outragious prices!!! |

Rep Power: 21 | I can only say that typically you get what you pay for. Yes the beds are all metal, that is why they look so mechanical and ordinary. I am sure they are built like tanks. The best advice I can give you that you will never be sorry you took is. Buy equipment from manufacturers that have been providing equipment for many years that incorporate all of the design features that will have an impact on the success of your salon. Now the most important part that is terrible equipment mix that will make it very difficult to market. Before you think about your equipment selection you need to do a great deal more preparation on how your salon will be marketed. When you have established that you will know which models of equipment will best support your marketing effort and insure your level of success. With this current direction I see your opportunity for success as limited. However if you want to get in and out of this business with a smaller investment this is a great choice. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks Steve, In advice given, what would be your recommendation on beds. I know I want a min. of 9 due to the high volume near the college. I already have sooooo many vendors calling me offering their beds and prices and as much research as I have already done, I need to make my choices based on owners, such as yourself who have experienced good/bad beds and their quality. So what would be your recommendation? A mixture of beds or half 20 min beds and half of 10/15 min beds????? |

Rep Power: 21 | You need to have a variety of units in your salon- 20 min. beds, 15 min. beds, 12 min. VHR beds, VHR booths.... Also, the package deals are not always the best thing to do!! I bet if you looked into Heartland Tan, you would look no further!! They have EVERYTHING you need, and the timers are built right into the beds (which is really nice). If you were gonna buy 9 units, I bet they will give you all the supplies you need, and a FREE T-MAX manager!!! CALL THEM!! You wont be sorry!!! 1-800-554-8268 |
