Has anybody had any experience with an Airbrush Tanning Booth/Overspray Collection booth? I've found a couple but I'm not sure which one is best. The MistAway (www.mistaway.com) looks pretty good but it's new and I dont know if all the engineering kinks have been worked out yet. Any help would be great, my wife does about 10 tans a day right now and it's ruining her massage room and supplies.

Thanks again!

I have a feeling this is going to be a problem with airbrush tanning. I havn't tried the booths yet but I am not crazy about spending $1500 and finding out we still have the overspray mist. We moved ours to a room that we only do airbrushing in, and we mop the floor after each session. I don't think we would continue doing it if we had to do it in our massage rooms. If you get a booth, or if anyone has one and been using it let me know.
Thanks

WOW! $3700. Sounds like a lot for something that looks like a shower stall with vents. Seems like you could build your own for less money.

If you use a turbine spray system instead of the old airbrush system you might eliminate 80% of the "excess" airborne spray. Don't really need a special booth.

Remove a portion of your ceiling tile, put a box fan,a air conditioning filter underneath, and a light fixture cover that has the small square holes(need to cut to size of box fan) underneath. You will need to change filter once a week or depending on your amount of sprays. Run your fan cord to an extention and put it on high or medium. Everything goes in the attic. Or put an exhaust ducting it to outside of your building. We use the first method, and it seems to work fine for now. The filter catches about 90%, I think

I bought the booth by Norvell and have not had any problem whatsoever with it or with additional overspray. Before it came, we used a box fan with a washable filter. It caught some of the overspray, but the air in the room still filled up with solution as did my nose. (and lungs I'm sure) I know that $1500 is a lot of money and that once you get your booth, you look at it and wonder why it costs so much, but after having gotten it and used it, there is no way I'd go back to a rigged-up method for the overspray. Take the plunge and buy the booth!

We built ours. Its custom, looks professional and was a LOT cheaper. But we are a little handy on the home-improvement side

What kind of solution are you using? I had posed this question earlier in a different forum, and not gotten many responses. I have been using Norvell's and it seems to work ok, but the color starts turning yellow looking after about 3 days. My customers are liking it okay, but they are not clamoring to have a second session. Any advice would be appreciated.

My wife is using the tat and tan system with the Bahama Body solution . Right now we are using a small fan and blowing the overspray out the back door of her massage room. I’m thinking of buying a small shower enclosure and rigging up a range vent-a-hood to filter the overspray then ducting it up into the air. I cant duct into the attick because its a solid ceiling and we are just renting right now. It can be built for about 250.00 I'm just a little worried about how it will look aesthetically. Has anybody done this before?

*UNITY how did you do yours?
