cracking soud - tanTALK

Hi this is my first time using a tanning bed and I have a question about the bed. I am about 250 lbs and it makes me really nervous when I'm laying there because I can hear little cracking sounds. Is that because I'm heavy and its about to break or is it the lights making that sound? Please let me know.

Acrylics make noise as they heat up or cool off. I would not worry about it.

Yep, top250 is right. Those acrylics are stonger than you think. It those people that think they need to put their knee in the bed that you have to worry about. Just sit on the edge of the bed and swing your feet into it and lay down, exit just the same.

Don't worry..When I am in the Salon by myself I hear those noises...the acrylics expand & contract w/heat. Make sure that you are distributing your weight evenly in the bed .....linda

Sometimes, when I am tanning late at night with all the lights off, doors locked and nobody else there I hear this creaking and it still freaks me out. Lil-miss is right, just be careful of elbows and knees whether you weigh 100# or 500#.
