Rep Power: 23 | Wondering if anyone had an insight as to what kind of impact a Hollywood Tans opening close to you has on business. I have one opening about 3.5 miles from me. Their location surprises me as it is not in a very high traffic shopping center and is hidden from the main road. I dont really consider competition but curious as to impact if any. yesterday found out my main competitor lost their lease and is closing tomorrow, and today found out about the Hollywood Tans opening.... |

Rep Power: 0 | BJ I WAS WONDERING IF YOU HAVE CHECKED OUT THE HT'S IN YOUR AREA??? I KNOW OF 2 IN O-TOWN. MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE CHECK THEM OUT AND MAKE YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS. I WILL TELL YOU THIS THOUGH, I HAVE HEARD THEY DO SOME CRAZY NUMBERS, SO I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD IMPACT ANY SALON AROUND. I CAN'T IMAGINE ALL THE PEOPLE GOING TO THESE PLACES ARE NEW TANNERS. |

Rep Power: 30 | I have Hollywood Tans in my area and I have no worries. Only stand up booths and they charge huge money. Some of my regulars go there on the weekends and they hate it. Only go there when they can't make it to my place. Private label ETS? Good luck. |

Rep Power: 0 | bj if i told you what salon i own, you might not like me anymore!!! i will tell you this though, i do own a franchise south of 50 and i know a lot of this company you speak of. i do agree with you on there location, but i'm surprised by the "i don't consider them competition" this tells me a lot of your business back-ground, not to be rude!! just trying to help another tan talker out, but in my book if i had a salon open up near me i would be very concerned, i believe this post shows some concern, and that i would be!!! concerned because ht is the fastest and largest tanning franny out there. each one is ran differently and hopefully for you this will be the difference. i would def do your homework on this one!!! I do wish you luck and any ? feel free to ask always G to the DOe |

Rep Power: 23 | I own a tanning Salon in upstate New York and a hollywood tan opened up litterly 200 feet down the road from me in august. So far it has had no effect on my numbers. However I have a very nice salon with ergoline equipment. My equipment out performs theirs. I have the new sun capsule 220 watt which destroys their stands up and I charge less for it than they do for their stand ups. My Ergoline 600 and 650 also out performs anything they have. So I think if you have a nice salon with good equipment you should have nothing to worry about. |

Rep Power: 23 | G, What i meant as i dont consider them competition is their distance from me. its 3.5miles and its a long 3.5 miles through a heavy traffic area. Also they go after a very defined clientle. and since you started, Dont be so quick to judge my business background....Im a CPA (hence the CPA in my name) and a business attorney. My firm specializes in large corporate clients as well as many of the larger franchises in Orlando. Dont worry, i dont take offense though. Any im sure i wouldnt have any problem with you if i knew what salon you owned. Being that you own a franchise I would imagine you own a Planet Beach or two. I would guess the one in Waterford Lakes, and maybe the one opening across from UCF. That is the only other franchise other than hollywood tans in Orlando i know of. |

Rep Power: 0 | bjhcpa........good to hear you have the professional skills. I wonder what your position is on all the "Patent Hype" re. the Mist-on battles. I heard rumor the Patnet office rejected the Dr.'s Patent modification request once again calling into question the very existance s. the 1933 Patent........What say yee? |
