On the topic of software, can anyone tell me about the software FST offers? We run 13 units, all manually. Time to step up and, yup, I'm a brand newbe !

Here is a list of the different types I know..still looking myself...
Helios
Suntouch
Salon Touch
SalonXpert
Sunlync
Breeze
If you go to the different sites or do a Search I am sure you can contact each one and they will send you demos

Thankx, I do have demos from some of these folks, but they are inconclusive. I'm used to evaluating software on the basis of user friendliness using criteria such as number of keystrokes required to do a given task, will the software let you do business as you currently do as opposed to changing how you transact. I'm not seeing a clear picture. Unfortunately I learned about Nashville too late to attend. I asked selected software vendors for locations in my are and had then decline to offer any, not a good recommendation. I had one tell me they were rated #1. I asked them who evaluated them and awarded the #1, they said their customers and I had a brief discussion with the rep about the FTC and false or unsubstanciated claims. I'm beginning to believe the tanning business is not far removed from the swimming pool business in ethics!

Everyone is going to rate theres #1 of course.. I am still looking and wonder which ones would really benefit me and my salon. I just want one that will line up beds and put clients inorder to go in. I use quickbooks to keep records and sales.

Thankx Margaret. When you say line up beds and put clients in order are you referring to managing a waiting list situation? I've not been thru the "busy" season as an owner and had not considered that situation.
