Doesn\'t Anyone use the Point Package System Pro\'s And Con\'s - tanTALK

I posted this question before. No one replied. Does this mean no one out there uses this system? I thought it sounded like a great idea. Points Packages instead of sessions and upgrades. This allows all customers to use any level of tanning unit you may have. It also makes the customer feel like their not spending any additional money. HELP....I NEED SOME INPUT.

We don't use the point system. I sell minutes visits and month unlimited. Works great here. Sometimes the points seem like alot of confusion to the customers. Its all what your customers are use to.

Thanks for your response. I currently sell sessions, unlimited packages, and minutes. I have a surcharge for upgrades. It works! I just thought by having points, the client would have more of a choice on which units to use being that we have 5 different levels of tanning.Example standard bed 10 points, standup unit 15 points.

It could very possibly work. I only have one upgrade bed so its not as nesessary for me. Might be a good idea to try out!!!

I use the point system as an option for clients that don't want a month or that like to tan in the superbeds. It works very well. I use points instead of minutes because the superbeds are less minutes than the regular beds so why would they want to use a regular bed & use their minutes up.

I use a star system (aswell as minutes & unlimited). The way mine works is that I have 4 levels of tanning. Level 1 beds are 1 star/ level 2 beds are 2 stars/level 3 are 3 stars & level 4 are 4 stars.So, if someone wants to use different levels , the stars work well. Eg they buy 20 stars..they come in a do a High pressure (level 4 - 4 stars)... next time they are in a hurry & they want to do a high speed..(level 3 - 3 stars..9 min. Diva bed)etc etc...not locked into a bed level, but they also do have to think about paying every time they come in. It works..& perfect 1st time visit is 10 stars..one tan on each level 4+3+2+1=10 stars!

we use a point system, and if you do it right, IT ROCKS !!! Assign a Point value to each Bed/Booth, and allow customers to use their points however they want. It is much more customer friendly than just straight out packages.
