Hello,

Alright here is my situation. I am a new airbrush tanning service opening in NYC. I have based my business model arounds providing airbrush tanning services for salons and spas.

Essentially I allow them to make appointments with their customers for my tanning services and I then preform them in their location or at the customer's residence.

They initially collect the money ,set up the appointment, and we then split the proceeds. I feel this is a good way to encourage businesses to adopt my services because there is no cost or obligation to them.

This would seem to work, in theory. Tommorrow I am going in to test out this theory to several small businesses I have targeted. I am started out with a local spa, nail salon, and bridal store and Im a bit nervous about how it will turn out.

I am a bit apprehensive as to the best way to go about approaching business owners to market my services. Should I call first, or should I merely show up at a non busy time of day with my marketing materials?

Any input, support, feedback from fellow professionals would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time ro review my request, and I hope to hear from you soon.great way to enncourage

Calling a head of time is always nice for them but I'd just show up. You'll have less of a chance of getting rejected and more of an opportunity to present your services to them. You'll need to continually follow-up with them and start a relationship with them for this to work. Otherwise I think that you'll be fine.
