Rep Power: 0 | I have an odd problem. I have one spot on my body that WILL NOT tan and it looks ridiculous! It's right at my tailbone and it's about the size of a silver dollar! Several years ago I cracked my tailbone and wondered if that injury might have anything to do with it. I've tried everything I know to try! Has anyone else had anything like this? I feel weird enough as it is! My husband actually thinks its funny! |

Rep Power: 0 | If this isn't tinea versicolor then it could be a pressure point from where you body rests on the acrylic. If this persist even in stand ups then there maybe a reason why melanin is not produced on that part of your body and yes from my experience an injury is possible. My son has a friend that has had an injury to his legs and they won't tan. I assume these melanocytes can be damaged with injury. This is not a fact, not really sure myself, but that could be the reason. |

Rep Power: 21 | Tracie is correct, most likely, this is due to a pressure point where no oxygen gets to your skin while laying on the acrylic. Try a stand-up, but if it still persists and it bothers you that much, use a product like AG Beach in a Bottle or SW Bronze Faces. Just a quick spray will even things out. |

Rep Power: 0 | I have had ladies tell me this, way more than I was wanted to know.. They spread their checks and sit on the bed for the full 20 min. That does the trick in most cases. Probably won't be a cure to injuries to the skin tho. Paradise Tanning |

Rep Power: 23 | hightide - tell those ladies to be careful. If you are an avid tanner and for the first time decide to spread your cheeks and sit then it could cause a painful burn in the crack. Not something I would be interested in. |
