Has anyone ever heard of AWTS(Wholesale Tanning Supply)? The beds look really cool and there prices seem good. The beds they had were
Power Sun
Emosol
Tansun
Spanish Sun
Has anyone heard of, or gone tanning in any of these?
Thanks!!

They LOOK good but I'd question the frame sturdiness and wireing. I'd like to know also.

u want to check into the specs of these beds. I have heard of the Distributor but have never done any ordering through them. Ask them for references, Salons they have sold to, see if it there is one close by to you so you can go check out the beds. If not numbers you can contact of owners.

Even though I live here in Calif, I come from the UK...& Tansun are very popular there, especially the stand ups.

"these beds sound really cool"...sounds to me, as if you ar a bit excited and anxious to get into the business. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY..with that kind of attitude, you will fail!..took me 3years of researching, and I am still not secure..90% of the salons that open, close in 12months..look in your local newspaper, how many salons for sale??..in my local paper, about 6 different ones each week...what do you know about the business??..do you know the skin types..the difference between the UV rays?,,which of the 3 rays produce melanin??..this is not a "get rich" scheme..it seems to me, there is a great deal to be explored..and if you settle for any of the beds you mentioned, because they look cool, you will never be able to compete..what are the ballast in the beds like..what type acrylic and whats the replacement cost..are the lamps compatable??..dont buy because they "look cool"..better be more concerned with performance, ease of repair..# of ballast per lamp..how they meter..so much to learn..

Hi soapking! Just to let you know I do not plan to make such a deep investment because the beds "look cool". That is just stupid! They just look like nice beds that is all I was saying. I have seen some crappy beds and just thought these looked nice. It is that simple. I DO NOT plan on going into this business as a "get rich quick" scheme. I have put Alot of time into this and take it very seriously, as I am sure most salon owners do and should. This is not just a business, but your life. I know opening a tanning salon is serious business and I have never thought that I could buy the "coolest" loking beds, throw them in a store somewhere and make money hand over fist. I have done my research also and will continue to do so. I am learning all that I can and I am sure that I will still be learning long after my salon opens, and as this industry evolves. And I should sound excited, as it is this positive "attitude" that keeps me striving to learn as much as I can and open the best salon I can. There is only one salon in the area for which I plan to open, so as far as checking that paper goes, there are no salons for sale in there. Back to my original reason for starting this topic. I was just asking to get an opinion on these beds and this supplier. I had not yet heard of these and because I am doing my research and learning all that I can, I just wanted to hear what others thought about them. So THANK YOU to those of you that saw what I was asking and answered with your opinions not a lecture. I may still have alot to learn, but that is why I use this forum. I can get questions answered here that I may not get the answeres to somewhere else. I am a person like many on here wanting to open a new salon and are looking for helpful information. Do Not treat us like we are stupid and just want to get a quick handfull of cash. Everyone of us has had to start somewhere, and has had alot of questions to ask. That is why I am on here asking those important questions. I plan to open and operate a great salon, afterall isnt this the dream we are all going for here, to be a new salon owner and do a great job at it? From now on please respond with positive feedback or don't respond at all. I don't want any negative posts to ruin my "excited" attitude.
Thanks.
