Rep Power: 0 | Hello - We're trying to get some idea as to the value of some used equipment We've seen in an area we're interested in. This will help us evaluate equipment or business purchases. Specifically here's what we're looking at: Vitasun-Riviera with face tanner - about 1987 Ultra Sun Mega 4300/4 - Feb 1996 Royal Sun 36/3 - March 1998 Royal Sun Focus (Stand Up) 60/18 - March 2001 The equipment is presently in use and appears to be in good shape. Also, if you have any experience with this equipment and could share your thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: sunlists on 2003-07-23 15:01 ] |

Rep Power: 22 | You really want the lamp hours, and when the last time any components were changed. These items are the value of the bed, not the frame itself. You might also want to check depreciation of each piece. |

Rep Power: 22 | Nothing personal, but I would not have any bed from the 80's.It is your equipment that makes up your salon. That bed would do more harm than good to your overall image. JM2$ _________________ on the SUNNY SIDE ! [ This Message was edited by: LazyTANS on 2003-07-31 23:50 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | Hello LazyTANS - We appreciate your comments and agree. We're looking at a salon that has some of the older Vitasun beds in place. They are in good shape and clearly function well. Our plan would be to replace them as soon as we could afford it. In our view the beds work just fine for entry level tanning. Replacement would be more of a needed cosmetic/image thing and agree it's important in this competitive environment. If we are wrong on this please advise since we are new to this business. Overall, the place will need a face lift and equipment upgrades. We were thinking the Vitasun beds 28 bulbs with 3 face tanners would be worth $1,000 - $1,500 each if the bulbs are at half life. We want to be fair and surely don't want to overpay. Any thoughts on this? P.S. what does "JM2$" mean? - Thanks. |

Rep Power: 0 | YOU CAN USUALLY GET $1000 FOR A CLEAN BED BY LISTING IT IN YOUR LOCAL PAPER. DON`T POST IT IN YOUR SALON, OF COURSE. UP-GRADING THESE BEDS SHOULD BE A PRIORITY. I KNOW I COULD FIND NEW OR NEARLY NEW 28 LAMP BEDS, ALL METAL,FOR $1800-2300 EACH. _________________ BE GOOD TO OTHERS.[ This Message was edited by: TANQUEEN on 2003-08-01 13:58 ] |
