Has anyone had any luck setting up an oxygen bar in their salon? I have a large population of divorced people that come in and usually have all the symptoms the oxygen bars seem to help take care of (stress, exhaustion, etc). Do they actually help?

Instead of doing an Oxygen bar, many salons have had success selling oxygen with upgrade beds.

You can buy an oxygen generator & run the oxygen lines to each room you would want to supply with it. Then clients can buy the reusable annules from you, & you can then charge an upgrade fee to use the oxygen.

The so called oxygen is not truly oxygen but compressed air, if it were oxygen it would be extremely flamable and you would need a license to dispense it. Plus there is the issue of liability.

The oxygen generator/separator uses an air compressor to force air through a series of filters to separate the oxygen from ambient air. If it is functioning properly, the end product is 90%+ pure oxygen. Oxygen by itself is not flammable but can accelerate an existing fire. The commercial units available for oxygen bars do not require a license to operate. Liability issues are resolved by adding to your salon policy. With Insurtec, it's just a couple of hundred bucks a year to add oxygen bar coverage.

I RESENTLY HAD A LONG CONVERSATION WITH AN MD WHO HAS HAD A GREAT DEAL OF EXPERIENCE W/OXYGEN THERAPY AND HE SAID OXYGEN DOESN`T RELIEVE STRESS IT . IN LARGE AMOUNTS IT CAUSES IT. THE BODY STRESSES WITH THE UNNATURAL INCREASE. KIND OF LIKE WHEN YOU EXERCISE, IT STRESSES THE MUSCLES TO MAKE THEM STRONGER. VERY INTERESTING.

Oxygen bars do not provide oxygen "therapy." Sessions are generally no more than 30 minutes. Pure oxygen will irritate the lungs after prolonged use. Oxygen bar customers end up breathing at most 50% oxygen due to the oxygen being delivered to the nostrils by a canula. You breath both the nearly pure oxygen and the ambient air. I suspect that "dosage" is not what the doctor was talking about in reference to stress.
