Rep Power: 0 | Hello all! I'm new to Tan Talk, and just wanted to say that this has been a great source of information, and it's all because of you that makes this happen! Thanks! Anyway, I will the proud owner of a tanning salon very soon, and I wanted to see if anyone has some input on this subject...I've spoken a few times to Executive Tans which is a franchise based out of Colorado. I'm considering opening my first salon with them, and wanted to know if anyone here has any experience with Executive Tans, positive or negative. I know a lot of you here have made your feelings known that franchises are not the way to go, but for me...I think that's the route I'll take at least at this point. So... can anyone offer any input about Executive Tans? Any comments are much appriciated! Thanks all, and have a great day! |

Rep Power: 24 | mdrew1: Congrats on your decision to be apart of our indusrty. I am not familiar with Executive Tan but am very familiar with franchises.. A well organized franchise can offer you a plan and a system that takes some people years and years to put together. It is value over price. If you feel this company is giving you the support and direction you need. Ask them for 10 other individuals who are apart of their program and call 6 of the 10. Go vivit some of the locations and take a few of the owners out to lunch and ask them questions about how they feel being apart of the system of Exec. Tans. This way you hear it first hand. Let us know more as you explore the option of Exec. Tan. Best Wishes, C |

Rep Power: 0 | I considered a francise store when I looked at getting in the tanning business, but the dominate local francise seemed only interested in $$$ and not focused on taking care of the customer. I like $ but believe that if you take care of the customer you will win in the end. Only you can decide if the francise is the way to go. Good luck |

Rep Power: 0 | As an owner of a fitness franchise (which i will not name), there are a lot of negatives involved in franchising in general. I would urge you to consider the FREEDOM of being independent. I am not saying anything negative about Exec Tans as I do not know them from Adam... at the same time I do know I've been burned by franchises.. If u want to correspond furhter on the topic... rick@westtaning.com |
