I am a one year old tanning salon and need to change my lamps. I went with Interelectric and just did not feel like I got what I paid for. I have 8 beds(2)16 minute turbo and (5)20 minute beds, and (1) 10 minute sun capsule. I want a deep dark tanning result. Do not care much about the red effect. I have been looking at light source. (Midday Sun, Signature Series, and dual sun for facials in my 20 minute beds. Please help with advise (Interelectric, Light Source, or any other suggestions)

i have been using the beach sun bulbs in my 20 min beds with good results and they last about 800 hrs. i pay about ten bucks a bulb.
however i used the signature series bulb and the last time i did they stopped performing at 450 hrs. now i,m using the vhr-tt bulbs and the cusomers are raving about them. they,re hotter and they have more uvb then the sig series. also i installed electronic starters. i'll let you know in about ten years if they are what the advertising claims.
good luck
greg

Thank you so much for your response. Can you give me any advise about Black Sun vs Phillip? 160 and 100 wt.

I used Interelectric lamps for years and they do give quite a red effect. If that is not what you are looking for, I have started using Bermuda Gold lamps. I also use Lightsource Signature series lamps in my VHR unit. Both of these lamps give a nice brown color and a lot less heat than Interelectric do.

Have had good luck with Midday Sun, Beach Sun & Bermuda Gold. Unfortunately, I did not care for the Signature Series either.

Does it really matter what lamp you use? If they are compatable then aren't they really just the same?
