Birth Control Patch - tanTALK

I just had a client ask about tanning with the new patch. Anyone know anything about it? Her Doctor didn't know and suggested not tanning. SURPRISE!

I checked out the patch site www.orthoevra.com
and from what I read the only thing that it says is that if using any creams, lotions, oils, powders or make-up, not to put them where you will be putting the patch or around the patch because it may cause the birth control patch to come loose!

I'm on it. It's fantastic. I tan with mine on and it's not a problem, the "side effects" are the same as the Pill except you'll get a little tan mark where the patch is. Some people get uneven color or "dark spots" when they tan. It's listed as a photosynthetic drug but there are a lot of people who use it and tan. The only UV related side effect is the "dark spots" according to my doctor, so she might want to try tanning and see how it goes.

I have an employee that is using this patch and to the best of my knowledge has no side effects and I know for certain that she tans on a regular basis.

Maybe this is what I saw today in the super market..
A woman had a patch on her arm.. (it was to help her stop smoking).. also one behind her ear..(she must get sick to her stomach and it helps releives flip flipping tummy) she had on low rise jeans and there was a patch under her belly button..

I said to Ann Marie my friend.. hey.. come on.. let me introduce you to Patches.. she the new gal in town.. ....

Shhhhhhhh don't say it..I know.. I'm a mess.........
