Rep Power: 26 | Brenda: Thank you for bringing this oversight to my attention. I have edited my original postings on all 4 forums to include Brooke Bills, with my apologies to her for the inadvertant omission. My bad. |

Rep Power: 23 | Nothing. Just kidding. First off: Get my VP friend at Harley Davidson to extend employee class-A discounts to all ITA members. Is that enough? Kidding again - although I can try that. Other than to encourage ITA to back a well planned NAC with a portion of their budget, I would participate in allied issues resolution regarding the ever controversial thorn of equitable pricing for goods sold through distributors. Supply and demand will always come in to play when pricing small vs volume buys.. single vs multiple salons. But I'm open to any ideas you may have on approaching a more level playing field that may facilitate salon sustained profitability.. relative to products supplied by allied sector mfgrs. |

Rep Power: 0 | Work on growing the industry. Help get everybody pointed in the same direction. There is a prevailing "us vs them" image that is hurting everyone. Salon owners are on the front line, creating the demand and building the market. Manufacturers (lotion, bed, lamp, timer, software..all of us) need to provide solid products, and solid support. If salons do well, manufacturers benefit. If salons are hurting, the manufacturers also feel the pain. Dan Boone, ADI |

Rep Power: 23 | Now we are talking about some substance and real direction. It is a great start. How about the issue of salon owners not being able to pay for their own meeting room to discuss relevant issues of a mutual interest at an ITA convention? If the ITA does not provide a speaker in a certain area that is important to salon owners and they want to get together in a convienient venue, is that in direct competition with the ITA convention that the owners have alread paid a nice chunk of change to attend (by choice), not to mention paid for their hotel rooms and plane fare? By the way I have not heard back from the Opryland Hotel or ITA about that matter. This is an issue that would fall into the us vs them catagory. |

Rep Power: 23 | Isn't there a constitutional amendment or something saying "freedom to assemble"? I suppose that relates to public not private venues. If Rich C reads this, he might know what the protocol is since he works the Chicago trade show circuit. |

Rep Power: 26 | I would like to know the positions of all the candidates on the current ITA BoD election voting scheme. Would the candidates support a change in the ITA Bylaws to allow all ITA members full voting participation in the election of candidates in all sectors? Currently, ITA members have NO SAY and NO VOTE on 80% of the seats of their BoD. If a candidate believes this voting scheme is defensible and should not be changed, I would like hear their arguement. Would the candidates support a "sunshine" policy, including open meetings, availability of BoD minutes, and roll call votes to ITA members? Currently, this information is not available to the membership. |

Rep Power: 0 | Jim, I know this is your pet issue and am sorry I haven't read the details of your arguement, but I was wondering if you support the idea of seperate representative sectors? If so, then I am happy to argue that the voting should stay as is. Robbie |
