Is anyone else busy???? - tanTALK

I don't know if it's the east coast heat wave... but I was fricken' packed today!!! Everything we have was busy and kickin'! I had to call Sean and have him come help me out because I was working alone. I can usually have the salon locked and walk out the back on a Saturday at closing... but I still had people tanning at quarter past and it took me almost an hour to shut everything down and clean up!

This is a first for me... I wasn't THIS busy even in the BUSY SEASON! Is anyone else this busy on Saturdays, or was it just me!!???

Been pretty hot in Iowa too. But I wish I'd have 1/2 of your tanners today....I worked ALL day and only had 56 clients. So bored I couldn't even find anything else to clean!!!!! We are up for the month compared to last year, and business is pretty much "as expected" but it was SO dead today.

To put it in perspective, how many tanners are we talking here? For the day did you tan 50, 70, 100?

we had a good day for july we did 221 tans today its ok we need time to fix up and new paint we do this every aug. then its time to think about next year .

Laurie,

yesterday was a disgusting day here in NJ. I was going to go to the beach but didn't because of all of the clouds. I sat outside with the kitten for about an hour, mostly in the SHADE grrrrrrrrrr, and finally gave up and walked across the street to Simply Sun.

and the 90 degree heat is oppressive when combined with this humidity. I know that I've been at the salon the past few days with my Platinum Zero, just because I can't handle the idea of sitting outside for more than 5 minutes.

Hey... next time drive out to Tanning Index "10" in Trenton and come see me. I will have to check my numbers... but I am sure we were around 100+ yesterday.

My day sucked yesterday-- we only did 35 people! We had a HUGE Chamberfest in town though...it is one of the biggest days of the year (crafts/vendors) - 1/2 the town's shut down...so, I guess that wasn't a good day to compare with - last Saturday was slow too though - we only did 56 last week!!

I hate the weekends anymore - they are horribly slow & weather doesn't seem to matter either way.
