info on uv meters - tanTALK

every once in a while i read about someone checking the output of their bulbs with a uv meter. being new to the business i would like to know if this is a good piece of equipment to have in the salon? where can you buy one? and how much do they go for? is it able to tell if the bulbs need replacing specialy on a used bed being sold?? any input would be greatly appreciated. thank you:)
