Rep Power: 23 | A towel is not sufficient protection from the UV rayz... You need to wear eye protection everytime you tan. All clients should be told from the first tour of your salon this... If necessary use the Eyepro counter mat they explains visually why you should use eye protection. This usually will convince even the "I never wear eye protection" kind of hard headed customers. You can tell the kind...even if they do not say it. A towel will meerly defuse the UV light but the goggles will protect your eyes completely. Ask Brenda from Eyepro to send you a mat if you do not have one .. Mj _________________ Tan Talk ModeratorTanTalk Rocks!!! Rep Power: 23 | Teez, All the salon posters handled this beautifully (go, team!!)but to cover this for you--Towels and t-shirts rate about an SPF 6--that's why SPF-coated clothing is now becoming the rage. They block the suntan, but not the invisible dangerous rays that damage your skin and eyes. If you go to our website http://www.eyepro.net and click on "Send me a counter mat" we will send you a FREE tool to show eye damage photos to your clients (as mentioned by MJ). Also NOT mentioned above are our FREE salon signs that have exotic animals on them with subtle messages that inform the tanner about losing their night vision (the leading way to lose night vision is UV overexposure, indoors or outdoors), color vision and that eyelids block less than 25% of UV rays. Call us at 800-726-8322 or email me at brenda@eyepro.net with your snail mail address and number of rooms (a free sign for each room). You'll get FREE mounting tabs also that won't damage paint or wall paper! Thanks for caring about your customers' vision! Brenda |

Rep Power: 23 | Teez - We have the counter mat. It works extremely well. You need to make sure that people realize that any damage that they do by using a towel only is permanent. The only way to keep from causing permanent damage is to use eyewear. |
