Most everyday you are buying things for your salon.

When was the last time you demanded a better price from your supplier!

Indoor Tanning Product price controls that existed for the past several years are being broken by most evry distributor. If you have not seen a decrease in your price, I suggest you shop around to several different distributors. A major brand name product bought from one distributor is the same idential product that can be bought from another. Why pay more!

Make sure they have it in stock and how long it will take to get to you and the total price. (Make sure there are not hidden shipping or other charges)

This just not just go for lotions but everything you buy for your salons. The slow year has left many manufacturers and distributors with lots of inventory and the desire to dump it before the end of season. Use that to your advantage!

The lower price you pay then the more profits your make!

Greg - You raise a very valid point. Salon owners should consider that there are tons of distributors out there that would jump at the chance to have your business. Shop around. Just because you like "Susie" at your distributor, does not mean that you are getting the best service or prices.

Shop around for everything, not just lotion and supplies. Telephone, electric (if available in your area), etc.

And, newbie salon owners, please realize that there is more than one lotion company out there. There is absolutely nothing that requires you to only carry "The Big Names".
