I came in today to find a note..that one of my employee quit....and Took her training pay out of the drawer and her pay for this week. Because I didn't trust her she said!!
HELLO!!!!!!!! WTF????
Ok let me explian....
I while back I cut back on payroll and gave everyone less hours..I took on more to
A. save for slow season
B. To sell more lotion and packages..since they were all slacking in that dept.
C.And I hired a new employee (male..my first) hehehe
Bulb changer/maintenance and a few hours a week..
It is hard on my back/knees soo shot me..
I hired someone new..this upset the woman because her hours were cut..
I originally hired her for Monday and wednesday nights..
Shortly after I fired another employee she took over her hours. and I told her for now that was fine..
Her lotion sales were BAD.. so I implimented new policies which she was having a hard time keepin up with.
I also have avialability problems..
She told me her husband didn't like her working nights... cause he couldn't put her daughter to bed and she didn't like her staYING UP LATE..
I TRIED TO WORK AROUND IT:
I OPENED...AND STAYED UNTIL 1PM
THEN CAME BACK AT 5PM AND THEN CLOSED.
MG!! WAS THAT NOT GOOD ENOUGH!


Next I needed her to cover me 5 times....and she couldn't for various reason.. but tghe answer was NO. so I was forced to hire a back up to cover me when I need it. and killed two birds with one stone got a maintenace guy too.


Soo lets get to the part about the Tanning off hours...
I asked her not to ...
But since she wasn't working that much lately she has been letting herself in tgo tan when it was convient to her..and I ASKED HER TO NOT DO THAT!!

For Obvious reasons..
She didn't close nor was she to open so the lotion and money is not her responsiblity
Something happened and it would become hers so DON"T DO IT!!
apparently not clear enough..
Cause she did it two times after that.
so I deleted her security code..from the alarm since she wasn't opening or closing.

Sorry for typing at warp speed I am at a total loss here..WTF!!!


I actually crashed last week and had problems getting into windows XP so I changed the code and forgot to tell her .
Soo she comes in this morning AND KEPT PLYING WITH NUMBER COMBINATION UNTIL THE ALARM SHUT OFF AND COULDNT GET IN THE pc TO TURN THE BEDS ON AND LEFT ME A SCORCHING NOTE ABOUT NOT TRUSTUNG HER And she took money for her pay and her training fee.
which I hold until the shirts and key is returned.
UNFRIKKEN REAL!!!

I havent called her I have the note and the video tape of her taking the moey should I call the police..
???

In a freaken heart beat, she cant just take the money. Theft, thats all I can say.. Nobody takes any money out of a drawer in less the are instructed to... Call them now !!!
OK now that I vented, I am so sorry to hear the problems you had with your employees. Wish I could help you out.
That really is awful, you try to give people the benefit of the doubt, then they screw you.

I will call her and give her a chance.. she knows I have a camera...

thanks....I just did't want to start a war over this.. and have to deal with any more BS then I already have to deal with..

You are not in the wrong here. Lotion and package sales are what keeps you in business... duh! Anyone worth their salt would know that... anyone that doesn't isn't worth the hassle and MUST go!

You are not required to give any employee access anywhere you don't want to at any time. This is your business... not theirs. Anytime someone enters your business without your knowledge or permission is called "Breaking and entering" even if they have a key. There is another law called "Criminal trespassing" as well. When this employee used your equipment without your consent... er rather against your wishes, that is also theft.

Now the matter of taking money, services or merchandise of any kind if flat out theft. Even if she returns what she has stolen from you, I would still make a full report to the local police. Show them the tape and submit it for evidence. Get a copy for yourself.

You cut hours, hired another person and sounds like you gave this person enough notice of what you expected. You did not terminate this person even when you had just cause to do so.

Be careful here my friend!

Please, this is exactly the sort of person to steal money from you then turn around and file all sorts of claims on you. If you paid this person on payroll, they can now file an unemployment claim and you'd be stuck having to pay it. Before she can do that, contact your state's unemployment division at the Dept. of Labor and file an unsatisfactory termination on this person.... even though they quit themself. That is the only way to protect yourself. If you don't... you may have to keep paying and paying. And if you think you're peeed now, wait until that happens! When you file, be sure to state this individual has a "NO" rehire status with your company for theft and the police are involved.

Is this person an adult? D@mn, then show no mercy... they should have known better.

She Worte herself she took her money and her shirt deposit.
I gave her until 5 pm to return her shirt and the money she did not we were madd busy and I was $18.94 dollars short I found out which means when "I" closed last night I was over. Cause she must have taken and extra $20.00 for her inconvience!!!
The police said ..
Since she was still an employee I would have to sue her in civil court for the shirt deposit and the cost to change the locks..
Since I can't trust that she won't make a copy of the key and I do not have the shirts.
Which I will. As for the Money for her Commision which she would have got monday
they can't help me
BUT>>>>
I can press chrges for the shortages..
And Entering the premisses without owners permission..
Since it is in my polies that she signed.

Moral... get them to yearly update your polices...SIGNATURE!! She just updated on the 15th of march.
Thank God!!
The detective will be by next week to see the tape and he gave me a report #.
She should be contacted by monday.. tuesday at best ..
AHHH what a day!
