As I was toting my used lamps out to the back of the building today, I thought, "Wonder if there is some place that these could be recycled?"

I get one or two calls every year asking if I would sell some home tanner my used lamps cheap. See, they know I keep my lamps changed. Well I would, but their beds never seem to be compatable with my lamps. About 3 years ago a competitor called inquiring about my used lamps. Unfortunately I had already discarded them.

Back to the orginal question... Does anyone know of a program where we could send our used lamps?

Hey Mitzi... my service guy told me how they get rid of thier lamps... they put them back into the box and then hit them with a stick or bat and they turn to dust!

So I guess the next time you get mad... take it out on a few dozen lamps

But really, looks like we could recycle or something. You know, take care of our earth.

Here MN it is illegal to throw away or destroy bulbs and I am under the impression it's a federal law (excuse me if I'm wrong). We have to recycle them. Our local utility company has a program to do so.

Lamps are considered hazardous waste in Larimer County Colorado. It costs me 11 cents a foot to dispose of them. Please tell me how I can recycle?
