Below is an email I recieve from Scott of Supre.


Hi Mitzi....I'm in for a couple of minutes today, then it's back on the road...

Here's an update for you on our beauty situation.

As you know...Smoke is and always will be a Tanning Salon only product...and there's no doubt that it will be our best-seller this year. I have done a bunch of shows this year, and people are freaking out on it. I am having one of my salespersons, Barbara, send you full size samples of not only both of the Smoke products, but the new Hempz Bronzer and Moisturizer .
We are putting our money where our mouths are: For every sale you lose to beauty, call Barbara and she will send you a free bottle of that product for every sale that you have lost. How does that help you? Simple...you can either do a buy one get one free deal to your customers and beat beauty at their own game, or you can sell that free product to someone else and recover that sale. Just let us know the name of that beauty supply place that's causing you problems so we can see who the troublemakers are.
This BSG issue ...we are NOT in BSG...we never were. And.... WE WILL NEVER BE IN SALLY'S OR ANY OTHER RETAIL BEAUTY ESTABLISHMENT. If you ever find our product there, call me...and we'll go after them.

Gee, let me get this right...

You LOSE a sale, then you call, they send you a bottle of lotion to make ANOTHER presentation for SUPRE, so ANOTHER customer can go and get forever cheaper at beauty supply?!?

Idiots.

They are into beauty HARD, this is one of many chains, this one has stores all around PA, NH, and DE.





Anyone that carries SUPRE, let alone BUILD YET ANOTHER LINE for them to divert in the future is nuts.

Yeah, well I guess they think we are idiots and will fall for it.
I took all Supre off my shelves the week they anounced Beauty Supply, Well I decided I should get something out of it so put it back on the shelf last week on sale. Once it's gone I will not stock it again. Shame too, I have people that really like the Hempz.

The offer works like this...for every sale that you lose to a beauty supply...we will give you a free bottle of whatever product you lose the sale on. For example, if you lose a sale on Hempz...we will give that Hempz product free. I appreciate your reply on the beauty supply, but I don't think this is what we salon owners want to see or hear. I will however take advantage of it. Does this mean that if I loose a sale of another brand because they went to the beauty supply and got it, you will still send a free smoke to offset my loss?

Got my "care package" today. 1 Smoke Hot, 1 Smoke lotion, 1 Bronzing Hemp, 1 Hempz Hot, 1 Hempz, 1 Hempz moisturizer . Looks good, smells good, but sell in Beauty Supply.

I don't understand part of the post from Scott Olsen. He offers to give a bottle of lotion to replace any sales lost to beauty supply in return for us letting him know which beauty supply outlet the customer made the purchase from. He states this so that Supre can find out who the troublemakers are.

?????? What does he mean by "troublemakers"? These beauty supply outlets are selling lotions to our customers because Supre allows them to. If he's looking for the troublemakers, why not look in the mirror?

What a crock!!! If I call you each time this happens, and you send me a free bottle of whatever product that I lost through a diversion sale, are you going to charge me shipping? You are going to lose your a$$ on this deal. You are already losing the trust of salon owners left and right. Get real Supre. I've already found your replacement on my shelves. And, I might add that I am doing much better with your replacement than I did with you. Take your free product and shove it.

Perfect Tan, That is very confusing I agree. I think what he is trying to say is that unauthorized sells. But in my opinion, and hairdresser or nail tech that doesn't operate a tanning salon IS UNAUTHORIZED.

So you said it, Supre is their own troublemakers.
