Rep Power: 24 | For those who do not know, the definition of Spam most clearly is "unwanted, unsolicited advertisement." More specifically, you know that tantalk has been spammed when someone registers a name and only uses their name to promote their business or services. For some this is a fine line. But for others it's outright blatant and it is rude. It demeans the over nature of this (and other) discussion boards. If someone, for instance Andy from Atso has something to contribute aside from his company... then he contributes. If someone registers and starts to post about their product or service all over the board, not paying attention to whether or not they are posting their advertisement in the appropriate forum then they are "Spamming" tantalk. I do encourage all those that need to promote their product to register and post it in the appropriate forum. http://www.tantalk.com/forum/viewforum.php?forum=3&252 But I also encourage you to contribute to this site more than just your one time selfish advertising. Realize the good folks who read here are less likely to use your product or service if you only post about it once. People here do business with those they know and those they trust. The only way to accomplish this is to join and contribute often. _________________ Laurie www. bronze -star.com National Customer Service Manager Soakin' Up The Rays, Inc. 1-877-798-6802[ This Message was edited by: Bronze Star on 2001-10-30 21:02 ] |
