Jeff makes some valid points, but you have got to admit the growth/increase of NEGATIVE UV ads & agenda increased 1000% (I am being conservitive on my %, I can most likely add more zeros) since Sunless - UV FREE tanning went mainstream. I have never seen a Sunless Tan that looks natural. You can always point the sunless tanners out in a crowd. Granted some are better than others, but they all still suck. Find me one news article that promotes sunless & doesn't in some way bash UV tanning?

Rep Power: 28 | Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour? I personally did a Mystic on Sunday (level 1 clear orig solution ) and have got nothing but compliments on my color since then. Not a bit unnatural, no gross hands, browned out my regular tan nicely as I tan to the red side. I usually do the Supersonic for 5 minutes prior to a Mystic to open pores to accept solution more readily. Also using the products makes a huge difference (just like regular UV tanning) Hyper tan from them makes all of the difference in the color of a tan as does choosing the correct level of spray. Most want to go to a 3 from the get go, and I assure them that layering it is the better way of going about it. Too much DHA will leave you orange, no question about it. But, a small dose layered with a day between is the key to sunless success.

What happened is called SELLING OUT. We all know the dermatologists are sleeping with the SPF crew and using the tanning salons as direct proof that people are addicted to killing themselves. We all knew that this COULDN'T be proved with science. We all knew that this would blow up in their faces as soon as the Vitamin D council and countless studies showing the importance of sun exposure in your way of life finally surfaced. So what does the ITA do? They decide the MAX POWER way would be best (the wrong way just faster) cause they can make some quick BANK...well not the ITA but the major supporters of them who will in tern provide DONATIONS to their cause....which is lobbying for what's best financially IN THE VERY SHORT TERM. To say otherwise is just lying to one's self. And that's just sad.

Rep Power: 28 | Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour? I agree with what you said John about the negative ad campaign against UV tanning. Can't dispute that. But why not capitalize on those that are stupid enough to believe it. Obviously not everyone believes it or we'd be all out of business. Why not have something for those that DO believe they hype and lies. Just makes my slice of the pie larger.

Jcjjp2, YOU are a smart guy. As such, YOU know how to make the best of a UV free session. 1% MAYBE will take the time to even attempt this approach at "advanced" tanning. ****, JA's spray tan in a can was a "double dip" product way before the sunless booth existed and that stuff gave you the BEST COLOR BY FAR for a sunless tanner. Problem was you needed to be GOOD at it to make it even, and not cover the earth trying to apply it. PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID/AND OR CHEAP TO DO IT CORRECTLY. Anything other than JUST BEING PRESENT and you are asking too much. (I'm in a REALLY REALLY irriate mood for some reason today so don't be shocked at some of the "reality" I post today. Maybe too real)

Rep Power: 28 | Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour? I hear ya Eng. I am fired up today as well... I have been traveling and done spray tanning all over the country and have some help me (when I said I was a newbie) and those that just pointed to the door and said GO. My comp's do the latter, which makes me a shoe in for those clients. A first time Mystic tan in my shop is usually a 15-20 min experience with the vid, tutorial etc... The more I can get to do it right, the more will come because of my due diligence. Back to the orig topic... HP beds and are they the savior... I used to think so, but I might need another level 2 bed before i invest in HP. My level 2's (Sunstorm) runs the most throughout the day. I have 2, but need another and can get one used for a good deal vs. something that my comp is now giving away for $59 per month (HP Omega and Future sun combo)

Rep Power: 23 | Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour? Jeff, Get a 360 HP & kill the competition. It will free up the Level 2's then you won't need another. I'm not saying don't do Sunless, we are all free to have opinions & my opinion is that Sunless sucks & it has done more damage than good for the industry. Yeah sunless has lined plenty of pockets with fast $$$, but at what cost? A huge negativity about UV tanning!

Rep Power: 28 | Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour? I'd like a 360. No one has one around here, closest is like 25 miles away with an old Matrix. Sunless is bought and paid for within the first year, it replaced a base bed, so no real loss there (actually have it if anyone is interested Sundash 232 with about 300 hours on it. disassembled....
